Remembering Michael Jackson…

“I’ll always be Peter Pan in my heart.” – Michael Jackson

In truth I have rarely thought much about Michael Jackson in the past years. I know he was in the news for his eccentric behavior. I never believed he did all those things to children that he was accused of, just another way for people to tarnish his name & make a quick buck. I just never felt that a man that was that determined to help other people and the world would do the things those others claimed.

“I have spent my entire life helping millions of children across the world. I would never harm a child.” – Michael Jackson

I grew up in the eighties listening to his music. I still to this day watch the ‘Thriller’ music video every year on Halloween. His career spanned such a long time that I share my love of his music with my mother as well. She was born in 1958, the same year as Michael so she also grew up listening to him and the Jackson family. It is always amazing to me that one person can have this much of an effect on the entire world. But then again there are many “one persons” that have affected us here on Earth it just usually isn’t a pop star.

“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.” - Michael Jackson

It is hard for me to believe that he is gone. The most I can hope for is that he went peacefully to whatever place he loved most. I hope that people remember him for all the good things he did & what he brought to all of us musically. Just think, we may have not have had many of the artists around right now without Michael Jackson. I am sure he is in good hands now and I hope that his children are well loved and live great lives. He will be missed my millions. It is still so surreal... I can’t believe he is gone.

“We have lost one of the greatest icons of all time. He forever set the bar for entertainers all around the world.” - Singer, Fergie

“Michael Jackson’s accomplished so much that there’s not even words to explain what he’s done for urban and pop music. Every artist that I personally know has been influenced by him. The world has lost one of the great entertainers who shaped many generations and will continue to for years to come.” Singer, Akon

“From the beginning of my career, he was my idol in show business… I had his poster on my wall.” Singer, Celine Dion

“Dazed in the studio. A major strand of our cultural DNA has left us. RIP MJ… I think we’ll morn his loss as well as the loss of ourselves as children listening to ‘Thriller’ on the record player.” Singer, John Mayer

“he has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.” Singer, Justin Timberlake

“Michael forever changed the world of music and entertainment and I will always remember him for his kind and sweet spirit.” - Singer, JC Chasez

Weddings, Weddings, and more…let’s see here…weddings???

Sooo…Last summer I was invited to 3 weddings and was in another (my little brother’s). I only attended a total of three. (That’s still quite a few.) I thought to my self “at least I won’t have to go to this many next year.” Not to mention not having to get all dolled up in a bridesmaid dress.

Well…I don’t know what the crap is going on but I realized finally that I have invitations to 5 weddings total!!! One of those weddings I have been asked to be a bridesmaid in. BAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! I am all cool at weddings & all but seriously??!! Is everyone trying to get married off so I am the Lone Ranger out here in single land? Do people know how hard it is to meet someone decent, who is up to my high standards (I have been criticized for this a lot), that has no children, has never been married, and is 25 or over?? (Unless you are Robert Pattinson, then 22 yrs. old is OK.) True people have attempted to set me up with blind dates…HELL TO THE NO!!! When I refuse some have even tried to ambush me at the barn or at Lariette practice. Here’s a little tidbit…If I want to be set up I will ask!! When people have brought these guys to my “horse world” it never ends well because I get irritated & then I turn rude. Then later I feel bad. So, next time let’s just not try to set Amy up. I just went off on a completely different tangent. Anyhoo…

Another thing is going to so many weddings in a 3 month period always makes me start thinking about my self getting married. It isn’t something that I really think about often normally. Sure enough though I get to thinking about it & then realize I don’t even have time to date!! I might be 45 before I get married!!! Shoot I will be 30 in 2.5 years and I’ve had a grand total of…Three. That’s correct, three actual boyfriends. I have dated some people intermittently but they were just too needy, or irritating, or I just decided I didn’t mesh with them. (I know this usually after one “date”) Good lord!! See this is what I am talking about. It’s depressing. Soooo, yeah. I just wanted to vent a little frustration. HAHA!

NEW RELEASE TUESDAYS!!!!

OOOOOooooo!!! YES!!! SO last week I got a pleasant surprise when Lynsay Sands had a book come out! I was excited & of course I finished it in two days. HAHA! But I am soooooooo pumped because tomorrow ‘Lover Avenged’ by J.R. Ward comes out!! I feel like such a nerd, chomping at the bit for a book. LOL! I should be getting it in the mail Tuesday or Wednesday according to the girl at Barnes & Noble. She said people usually get the books on the release day or possibly two days later. I really hope I get it on Tuesday. Then again maybe it would be better on Thursday so I have it for the weekend. Oh well, whatever! I just can’t wait!!!

Volterra vs Montepulciano #2

Here is Montepulciano. I will confess that I don't have as many pictures from this city. I was distracted by some...uh...scenery. It was also a shopping city. I was busy buying a purse, some shoes, and some linens. LOL! Anyhoo, here's what I have from that day. Including some of the scenery I mentioned. I am the best at taking these kind of sneaky shots. Just remember always wear sunglasses and always make them think you are taking a picture of the landmark & they just happen to be in the way. LOL! :-)

Please Notice all the tourists. They drove me CRAZY!! HAHA!! No seriously. I like to blend when I am in a different country not look like Schmuck with fanny pack and a passport holder hanging around my neck. The camera however I can't help.
