Twitarded Pilgrimage to Fooooorks 2010!
Holy Moly! Talk about procrastination! Finally getting this post all typed out…though it’s been written up on notebook paper since a week after ‘Twitarded goes to Fooooorks 2010!!!’. Ah well. I’m obviously never going to change my procrastinating ways. LOL! So here it goes…4-5 months later.
So this past weekend (note: Sept/Oct 2010) myself, Patches, JakeBlacksH00R, and Jessica went to Forks & La Push. For JB’sH00R & I it was our 3rd time there together & for Patches the first. At least since the Twilight movies. We all had been SQUEEING over this trip for a month & finally the time was here!
(Here’s a little look at my obsessive love for the Twitarded Blog. It all started when Patches emailed me at work “Have you ever read this blog Twitarded?” So I checked it out & at the time I think there were probably about 20 posts. I then proceeded to piss my pants from laughing so hard. I HAD TO SHARE IT WITH ALL MY OTHER FRIENDS!)
Fast forward to this trip to Foooorks!! Patches & I have a chance to meet JJ & STY!!! SUPER MOTHER EFFING SQUEEEEE!!!! I mean I wasn’t excited or anything. (Let the fan-girl craziness commence.) I booked us a hotel room & signed everyone up for Saturday night drinking festivities.
We all rode out there together Saturday & praise Mother Nature we had clear skies & warmer weather than when I was there in JULY!! We had a great time screwing around on the beach and generally just making a spectacle of ourselves (what with all the pieces of driftwood that somehow all resembled “sparkle peen”.
When we all finally pulled ourselves together & went back to the Forks Motel I noticed a large quantity of twilight posters on doors. WE HAD ARRIVED!! I think all of the ‘Twitarded Legion’ was staying at the motel. So we went to grab dinner & to the grocery store for some pre-funk boozing. I think when we finally got ourselves down to ‘The Dungeon’ and saw all the ladies, we were just slightly in awe. I remember looking at everyone’s name tags and thinking “OH! There’s VitaminR!” However, for Patches & I the biggest Squeeeee was when we finally got to meet Jenny Jerkface & Snarkier Than You. Let me just say that these are two FANTASTIC ladies. We took pictures like teenaged fan girls and both got drunk and had loads of FUN.

Honest Scrap Award...Finally got around to it.

The Honest Scrap Award comes with a caveat or two. First, you have to tell your readers 10 things about you they may not already know, but are true. Second, you have to tag 10 people with the award. Third, you have to let the people you've given the award to, know that they've received this award from you. Finally, make sure you link back to the person who awarded you.So first up, lets see if I can think of 10 things you may not know about me that are somewhat interesting...
1. I grew up in Edmonds which is a suburb of the greater Seattle area (pretty yuppy-ish) yes people that’s right. I am a city girl.
2. I hate whistling. Not the kind of whistling that is calling for a dog but when people whistle a little tune. It irritates me beyond belief.
3. I started riding horses when I was 8 or 9 over on the Eastside in Woodinville. I grew up riding only English, doing Dressage & Hunter/Jumper stuff. Never rode Western (other than those horse rental places) until I bought Honey.
4. Honey was my very first horse that I BOUGHT & OWNED. Scooter is the second. I also refuse to pay more than $1000.00 for a horse. I bought Honey for $612.00 at the Yelm auction, and I got Scooter for my B-day & X-mas present this last December. Granted they have taken a lot of work but it makes it all the more worthwhile to me.
5. It took me a year to confess to my parents that I bought a horse (Honey). They call them Hay burners & never thought I should have one. Now my mom calls Honey her grand-daughter. J She hasn’t met Scooter yet.
6. I work at my Uncle’s company in Downtown Seattle doing customer service & custom distribution of produce to Alaska & Canada.
7. I am a MAJOR travel junkie! It’s more difficult now with horses however. I have been to the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada (haha), India, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, & Ireland. My next mission is hopefully Greece and/or Spain. Possibly Australia and I want to see Africa eventually too. I have also been on a lot of family vacations to National Parks so I have gotten to see a lot of the U.S. as well.

8. I can not eat steak of any kind. Whether it is cow, elk, buffalo, moose, venison, pork chops, ribs, whatever. I refuse to eat it. It makes me actually start gagging after a few minutes so if I try to be polite I eat some I have to swallow it down in a REALLY short amount of time. I WILL NOT eat wild game of any kind anyways. I understand people hunt & that doesn’t bother me (Sniff. Bambi. Ok I am kinda bothered.) but I just don’t like meat that looks like it was sliced off the ass of an animal. YUCK!!!
9. I LOVE SPAGHETTI!!! Baked spaghetti!! Only if my mom or I makes it though. With garlic bread. Garlic bread is imperative.
10. When it comes to my horses I am an anal control freak. It’s hard for me to just let go & have other people ride them, groom them, tack them up, clean their stall, bathing. Pretty much any of it, which makes it even more difficult for me to travel. LOL! I just believe that there is almost no one that can care for them as well as I do. (Not true though.)
So there are ten random things you may not have known about me. I don’t have anyone to tag so whatever.

SO EXCITING!!!

Sooooo... Awhile back I lost the USB cable for my camera so I haven't been able to upload pics onto my myspace or blog!! Well I found it in a purse of mine. I swear I probably put it there so I wouldn't lose it. Oh well. Here are some of my Favs!! See Patches!!! I told you I took pics of the buffalo!! LOL!
Last but not least, this has to be one of my favorite pics out of all of them. This buffalo was smelling me & my camera in case you couldn't tell. HAHAHA!! Me & 4-oh are pretty tight but I don't like to brag or anything. :-)

Remembering Michael Jackson…

“I’ll always be Peter Pan in my heart.” – Michael Jackson
In truth I have rarely thought much about Michael Jackson in the past years. I know he was in the news for his eccentric behavior. I never believed he did all those things to children that he was accused of, just another way for people to tarnish his name & make a quick buck. I just never felt that a man that was that determined to help other people and the world would do the things those others claimed.

“I have spent my entire life helping millions of children across the world. I would never harm a child.” – Michael Jackson
I grew up in the eighties listening to his music. I still to this day watch the ‘Thriller’ music video every year on Halloween. His career spanned such a long time that I share my love of his music with my mother as well. She was born in 1958, the same year as Michael so she also grew up listening to him and the Jackson family. It is always amazing to me that one person can have this much of an effect on the entire world. But then again there are many “one persons” that have affected us here on Earth it just usually isn’t a pop star.

“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.” - Michael Jackson
It is hard for me to believe that he is gone. The most I can hope for is that he went peacefully to whatever place he loved most. I hope that people remember him for all the good things he did & what he brought to all of us musically. Just think, we may have not have had many of the artists around right now without Michael Jackson. I am sure he is in good hands now and I hope that his children are well loved and live great lives. He will be missed my millions. It is still so surreal... I can’t believe he is gone.

“We have lost one of the greatest icons of all time. He forever set the bar for entertainers all around the world.” - Singer, Fergie
“Michael Jackson’s accomplished so much that there’s not even words to explain what he’s done for urban and pop music. Every artist that I personally know has been influenced by him. The world has lost one of the great entertainers who shaped many generations and will continue to for years to come.” Singer, Akon
